MBB Niagara Movement Tour
The Niagara Movement signaled the birth of the American civil rights era and was conceived and convened in 1905 in Buffalo, NY. The MBB Niagara Movement Tour takes you back to that momentous time, with a living history experience that includes the following
• Living History Tour of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Re-Enactors Mary B. Talbert and W.E.B. DuBois and Rev. J. Edward Nash will greet guests at the church with an update on planning for the Niagara Conference and insight on African American Life and Experience at the turn of the century. (Michigan Avenue church was a former URR station and site of Niagara Movement planning meetings.)
• From the Souls of Black Folk Theatrical Presentation on the Life and Times of W.E.B. Du Bois at the Paul Robeson Theatre at the African American Cultural Center
