Commemorate and Honor victims of 1887 Thibodaux Massacre
November 23 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This event is to honor and commemorate our ancestors who were victims of the November 23, 1887 in Thibodaux Louisiana. Since most of the descendants are in New Orleans and elsewhere, we have decided to hold the event during the famous Bayou Classic when many family members will come to New Orleans. This is our Fourth annual event in honor of the Victims of the Thibodaux Massacre, but we usually go to Thibodaux, this year we will hold the event in New Orleans.
There were many victims, but we know from Jack Conrad Pension File in the National Archives that his 19 year old son, Grant was killed, his brother-in-law, Marcelin Weldon was killed and Jack was shot four times, but survived and was able to name the shooters.
