The Impact of Music During the Great Migration Panel

Exciting concert brings historically relevant content, poignant narration, period visuals, poetry, and Black classical musicians to experience The Great Migration and how music of the era affected the nation. Featured artists include Washington National Opera soprano Angeli Ferette; tenor Wayne Jennings, and baritone VaShawn McIlwain as well as soprano DeVante Ogden; and Artostis Director/pianist Dr. Lete Green. Poet Laureate Sistah Joy serves as Narrator. Produced by the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA) to help “Bring Color to the Classics!”
