Adelphi University’s African, Black and Caribbean Studies is hiring one adjunct faculty to teach:
Black History in the United States, 1865 –present.  The course is a 200 level undergraduate course – no prerequisites.
Black History in the United State, 1865 – present explores the aftermath of slavery, Reconstruction, through the 20th century to the present.  African descent, the forced removal of Africans to the Americas, the development of slavery, the resistance to that institution, free Black Communities and the culture that Black Americans developed.

A PhD in History or a closely-related field, teaching in African Studies, Black History, or history-intensive field is required.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach/lecture in Black History.
