The African and African American Studies (AAAS) Program at Dartmouth College invites applications for an open-rank position in Afro-Caribbean and African Diaspora Studies, with a preference for historians and social scientists. The position begins on July 1, 2018. We are interested in innovative scholars whose work interfaces with a variety of geographical regions. Scholars of all ranks will be given equal consideration.

AAAS at Dartmouth College originated in 1969, making it one of the oldest programs of its kind in the nation. Faculty are committed to interdisciplinary approaches to understandings of Africa and the African diaspora within a global context. We seek to build AAAS through the addition of cutting-edge scholars who transcend disciplinary boundaries within the College, as well as nationally and internationally.
