Bowie State University’s W.E.B. Du Bois Center for the Study of the Black Experience is seeking a professional researcher to collaborate on a National Park Service funded grant that will examine Black Communities in the Shenandoah Valley after the Civil War. This is a grant funded position which will expire in 2028. The researcher will identify primary sources related to free Black communities in the Shenandoah Valley and document and contextualize free Black communities in the Shenandoah Valley into the Reconstruction Era.
