ASALH Bronx Branch Event, New York State Abolition Commemoration Day

July 12, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

In recognition of 194th Anniversary the Abolition of Slavery in New York State, the Bronx Branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), cordially invites you to attend Abolition Commemoration Day in New York State. Because of a growing demand to fulfill the social needs of the community, this year we have broadened our focus to include participation from other organized nonprofit community groups, in developing a full-day program.

We welcome you to attend, speak or pray at the event. This activity is designed to promote peace, respect, educational information, pride and unity in our community, and to provide entertainment for all ages.

This is a public event that will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Haffen Park in Bronx, NY. 10469 – Between Hammersley and Gunther Avenues.

While the event is free and open to the public, we need the financial support of community sponsors. We are asking all benefactors and community organizations to donate. Thank you for your support.
