According to Kirkus, The Young Crusaders is a “lively history of the teenagers and young adults who fought some of the hardest battles of the civil rights movement” and a “compelling narrative that sheds light on a little-known aspect of the struggle for social justice.”
Franklin’s talk, which is free and open to the public, will commence at 6 p.m. CST and should last approximately twenty minutes. Thereafter, he will respond to questions or to comments.
