The Atlanta Urban Design Commission selected Dr. R. Candy Tate to receive the Jenny D. Thurston Memorial Award at the Commission’s Design Awards 2021. The Jenny D. Thurston Memorial Award was established as a tribute to the first Executive Director of the Commission and to the preservation professionals who have substantially contributed to the field of historic preservation.
