Charleston ASALH Woodson Birthday Celebration

This is the branch's annual celebration of Woodson's Birthday. We will have a discussion about Woodson, an overview of 2021 activities, and a presentation of an award.


This Celebration will begin with the ASALH Mission and the Official ASALH Song, "Lift Every Voice And Sing", followed by a panelist of distinguished scholars, educators, professors, Omega Psi Fraternity, Branch members, students and community representatives focusing on Woodson's life, legacy, contributions and message for the 21st century and beyond.

Presented by the Louisiana Charles Deslondes Chapter of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) in celebration of its founder, Carter G.
