I plan to present at the ASALH Annual September Conference.
I acknowledge my requirement to register and join prior to the conference by July 31st as this is a condition to remain on the program or to be considered for future programs.
I acknowledge that if I do not inform the ASALH conference committee by August 1st, I can no longer attend or present at the conference I am still responsible for conference registration and membership costs.

Overview

When you look at room names you will see some marked as AV. Rooms marked with AV means that there will be a projector or monitor there, to display presentations. Presenters are expected to bring their own laptop or electronic device. If you are a MAC user, you should bring your own cord connections/adapters.

If your session is not in one of these rooms, and you need AV you will have to order your AV through the hotel, using the PDF form here. You will be charged accordingly for the equipment through the hotel as ASALH does not cover the charge for these independent audio/visual requests. The deadline to request AV is September 21.

Alternatives to AV

Additionally, if you are not able to order AV, here are some other options that can help folk access your presentation.

  1. Print out some hard copies of the PowerPoint or presentation
  2. Put the PowerPoint or presentation online somewhere and use a QR code so folk can scan it and access your slides. You would have to print out some sheet of paper with the QR code for people to scan.
