Please join the DC Preservation League and Prologue DC, LLC for a community forum to discuss a proposed list of themes and sites identified for DCPL’s African American Civil Rights in the 20th Century in Washington, DC Multiple Property Document Project.

A Multiple Property Document contextualizes and identifies resources related to a specific theme — in this case, African American Civil Rights in 20th Century Washington, DC. This document will provide a framework for nominating historic sites to the National Register of Historic Places that memorialize DC’s Civil Rights history.

This event is free and open to the public. Register here and please forward this email to interested friends, colleagues, and neighbors.

The draft sites list will be made available online on October 29th. For project updates, sign up here.

To assist with the extensive research and documentation required for this project, the DC Preservation League has contracted with consultants Prologue DC, LLC; Nakita Reed, AIA; Chris Myers Asch; and Amber Wiley to assist in completion of this project.
