On behalf of the Department of History, Texas Southern University (TSU), Houston, TX, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Alondra Nelson, President of the Social Science Research Council and Dean of Social Sciences, Columbia University, will give the following lecture at TSU Thursday, February 8, 2018, 1:00 PM, PAB 114, in celebration of Black History Month: “What Black Panthers and Root-Seekers Can Tell us About Race, Medicine, and Justice.”
A post-lecture book signing will feature the following award-winning works by Professor Nelson:
