About this Event
The Destiny Café at Scott’s Grand Reception Hall and Corporate Center has honored Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) with a library in her honor as was announced at “A Celebration Honoring 400 Years of History” which can be seen here on Gullah/Geechee TV:
The official ribbon cutting of the “Queen Quet Gullah/Geechee Legacy Library” will take place during the Moja Celebration on October 2, 2019 at 6 pm at Scott’s Grand. Following the ribbon cutting, there will be a Gullah/Geechee dinner dance. Queen Quet will also do a book and CD signing that evening and present from her new novel series.
We are asking those who will attend to bring a Gullah/Geechee or Black history book to donate to the collection which will be used by community members when they come to the Destiny Café which is run by Ragina Scott Saunders.
