The National Park Foundation (NPF), the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, is set to host a Stand Where Heroes Stood “Meet Up/Teach Up,” a unique themed event which offers attendees a cultural immersion into the District’s African American heritage through national parks. Presented in commemoration of the 2019 Juneteenth holiday, this special program will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22nd featuring a robust schedule of activities, shining a much-deserved spotlight on black history and heritage in and around the nations’ capital.
