The Alabama African American Civil Rights Heritage Sites Consortium. This dynamic organization supports capacity building for historic civil rights sites in the iconic cities of Montgomery, Birmingham, and Selma as well as the Black Belt. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities.

The Finance Manager is responsible for implementing effective and streamlined administrative/financial systems. These tasks include managing outsourced vendors including payroll preparation and compliance, electronic payments, human resources (HR) support, and information technology (IT) support and services. As part of the Consortium team, the Finance Manager will work collaboratively with other team members to assure the highest professional quality of all finance and related functions.

This is a full-time exempt position; some evenings and weekends and in-state travel may be required.

Candidates should possess full knowledge of financial accounting and operations and be self-motivated. The Finance Manager must be excellent with time management, adaptable, and able to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
