Texas Christian University invites applications for a one-year lecturer position in the Department of History beginning August 2019. This is a teaching position, with a 4/4 load and an emphasis on survey courses (which are capped at 40 students). The department seeks candidates who can teach both halves of the U.S. survey course (before and after 1877), in addition to one or more other surveys on The African American Experience, 1619-Present, Multicultural America, Latinos/as in U.S. History, or World History.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of application. Review of applications will begin May 15, 2019, and will continue until the position is filled.
