We write to announce our work to re-charter the Charles A. Brown – BHAM ASALH Branch and continue its long-standing, rich legacy within our community!

Local ASALH members have been meeting throughout 2019 in Birmingham and we invite you to learn more about this exciting initiative at our next meeting on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at The Historic Ballard House, located within the Birmingham Civil Rights District, at 1420 7th Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35203; Phone (205) 731-2000.

To become a member, current national ASALH membership is required in order to participate at the local level. Please visit their web link for information on the current national ASALH dues structure: https://asalh.org/members/join/. In addition, theCharles A. Brown-BHAM Branch has dues to offset costs for required programming, payable by check to “Charles A. Brown–Bham Branch (Organizing)” with “ASALH Dues” noted in the memo line. Checks may be paid at local meetings or mailed to The Ballard House, c/o the Bham Branch. Please contact us for current dues rates.
