The Department of History at Smith College invites applications for a one-year, full time, benefits eligible Lecturer position in the history of the United States with a transnational focus, to begin July 1, 2018The lecturer will teach five courses, including two surveys: “Citizenship in the United States, 1776-1861” and “United States since 1877”. The other three courses will be decided in consultation with the department. Candidates with demonstrated teaching experience who can offer courses on im/migration, empire, race, class, and/or women and gender are especially encouraged to apply, as are applicants from groups underrepresented in History.
