ASALH Memphis played pivotal roles in the Juneteenth annual Black History Bowl for high school seniors on Saturday, June 30, 2018. President Christian served as moderator, ASALH Maxine Stawder, Dr. Femi Ajanku and Dr. Imani Fryar served as judges.

 
The event was held at the National Civil Rights Museum.    Shown above are members of ASALH,contest winners, the Chevrolet Dealership that donated the automobile  and ASALH Larry Batchlor who heads Juneteenth.,
 
Reuben, the bowl winner, is shown standing behind his victory cup behind.  He will be driving his new automobile to Morehouse this fall to begin his freshman year.
