Kelly Elaine Navies will be hosting the “Social Justice Conversations: Intergenerational Reflections on Activism” at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

This program will highlight an oral history project that has paired young scholar activists with veteran activists. Interviews were conducted in Washington, DC, in Jacksonville, Florida, in Atlanta, GA, and the California Bay Area with a powerhouse group of lifelong warriors including lifetime James Weldon Johnson Branch ASALH member Rodney Hurst, Sr, Dr. Fania Davis, Daphne Muse, Dr, MaryLouise Patterson, Dr. Frank Smith, W. Paul Coates, Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, Ibrahim and Carole Mumin, Dr. Harry Edwards, Charles Black, Dr. Beverly Guy-Sheftall, Dr. Georgianne Thomas, A. Peter Bailey, Charlie Cobb, Jr., and Dr. Joyce Ladner!
