Reserve your place for this Symposium highlight on the National Mall. Following a fascinating day exploring U.S. civil rights history at George Washington University, step inside democracy’s temple – The National Archives – where America’s “charters of freedom” are enshrined.

Enjoy a cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres in the Rotunda Galleries. This magnificent and breathtaking setting, with 75-foot high vaulted ceilings, is just steps away from the centerpiece of the National Archives Museum, the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom, where the original Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are permanently displayed.

The 6:30 p.m. reception will be followed by the evening’s keynote program in the elegant McGowan Theater at 7:30 p.m. Adm. Linda Fagan and Adm. Michelle Howard (Ret.) will discuss their experiences as women impacted both by President Truman’s Women’s Armed Services Integration Act and E.O. 9981. Additional remarks to be announced.
