The Charles Deslondes New Orleans Branch of ASALH will host our annual BLACK HISTORY Program and the 100th Anniversary of BLACK HISTORY MONTH by honoring Black Louisiana History and Historians with a program and lecture by Mr. Kendric Perkins at the historic TEP Center, formerly McDonogh 19 Elementary School, one of the sites of school desegregation in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. The school was transformed by the former little girls who integrated the school into affordable homes and a museum to share their BLACK HISTORY with others. ASALH NOLA is honored to share space and host our 3rd annual Black History Program in such a historic site, as we celebrate Black History
