In partnership with the 2019 Hampton Commemorative Commission, Hampton Roads Branch held a discussion of the book Warmth of Other Suns. This was the kick-off for the upcoming event. One of the Panel Members was Arkia Gowins, a guest panelist from Baltimore, MD and her grandfather was the doctor for Henrietta Lacks prior to her going to John Hopkins. Other Panel Members were branch members. Dr. Margaret Margaret Bristow and Dr. Renee Escoffery-Torres. There were over 60 people present. The event received great reviews. Event held at The Hampton Hampton History Museum.
