In an awards ceremony held May 7, 2022, at Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, FL, local Branch President Attorney Jacqueline Hubbard was present to deliver a ‘check’ in the amount of $12,700.00. The ‘check’ represents funds raised by the Branch in support of The Woodson African American History Museum of Florida’s ‘Woodson Warriors’ scholarship program. This year’s ‘Woodson Warriors’ fundraiser gala was held on March 27 and included a moving address by Ms. Nikole Hannah-Jones of the New York Times Magazine who created the 1619 Project. For the fourth year in a row, the ‘Woodson Warriors’ scholarship program supports thirty undergraduate college students who reside in St. Petersburg.
