Chef Alexandra “Alex” Strong is the executive chef with Restaurant Associates (R/A) at the Mitsitam Café in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. Before taking the helm at Mitsitam Café, she worked at a variety of R/A locations, including Capital One, the World Bank, the U.S. Senate, Google, the Georgia Aquarium and the Carnival Center for Performing Arts. She received a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts with a minor in music from the Art Institute of Atlanta.
