The ASALH Black History Month Festival provides your organization with an opportunity to reach a targeted audience of approximately 1,000 community builders, historians, educators, business professionals and students globally.

Please plan to take advantage of this great opportunity. Space is limited. Authors and their presses are invited to purchase an ad in the Virtual Festival Souvenir Journal.

More About Registering for the Author’s Book Signing

We invite you to participate in the Author’s Book Signing at the 2024 Black History Festival Luncheon on February 24th. There is a $60 registration fee

The Author’s Book registration includes:

    • One-half of an eight-foot table.
    • Opportunity to bring a low profile promotional display and distribute information about your book(s).
    • Opportunity to sell your book(s) onsite.
    • Authors and their books will be listed on the ASALH Bookshelf webpage.
    • Authors and their books will be featured on the festival website, social media, and other promotional materials.

 Registration info:

Individuals who register will be considered for one of the limited spaces for authors to sign and sell their titles during the luncheon. For the first time, authors will be positioned in the luncheon ballroom. As a result, all authors must agree to purchase a ticket to the luncheon. Early-bird pricing for luncheon tickets is available through December 31, 2023. Click here for ticket information and to purchase a ticket.

Registration Deadline for payment and receipt of book is January 15, 2024.

  1. Login to ASALH online.
  2. Go to the Registration page for the Author’s event.
  3. Then register for the author’s event. (Authors must register to participate)
  4. Purchase a ticket for the Luncheon event.
  5. Registration and tickets are non-refundable.
  6. For this limited space event, you will be notified by January 24, if you have been selected to participate or not. If you aren’t selected, your registration fee will be refunded within 30 days of notification. If you have purchased a ticket for the luncheon, the luncheon fee is non-refundable.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS REQUIRE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Paid luncheon ticket ($150 minimum) and paid additional processing fee of $60.
2. A signed copy of the book intended for sale at the Author’s Book Signing Signing (digital version preferred)
3. Upload (asalh.org/bookshelf) the cover of your book and your photo to be included in promotions on the website, social media, and ASALH TV (Our Youtube Channel).
4. All steps must be completed in order for your application to be processed.
