Close adviser to former President of the United States Bill Clinton, business executive, lawyer and civil rights activist Vernon Jordan passed away last week at the age of 85. ASALH mourns the passing of this trailblazer and leader in the fight for civil rights and equality.
The National Urban League will be celebrating the life of Vernon E. Jordan Jr. virtually. Jordan served as Executive Director and President of the National Urban League from 1971 to 1981.
