Mrs. Florence Racliffe was 103 years old and was the oldest active member of ASALH. She was a dedicated and committed keeper of the legacy of Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Former Executive Council member, and an Emeritus member of the Annual Black History Luncheon Committee are two of the many roles that Mrs. Radcliffe held at the national level. In addition, she was an active member of the Bethel Dukes Branch of ASALH. The members of the branch were invited to her home in June each year so that the branch meeting could be held there.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 11:00 to 12 Noon. at St. Augustine Catholic Church at 15th and V St. NW, Washington, DC. The family viewing will be held prior to the mass from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
