ASALH Charleston Area Branch 106th Annual Meeting and Conference


Due to the annual conference we did not have a branch meeting or program, instead we encouraged our members to attend the ASALH National Conference. Additionally, we had several members participate in the conference as presenters and organizers. This event will be held online.

The Charleston Area Branch ASALH celebrates the 147th birthday of Dr Carter G. Woodson, " the Father of Black History".The celebration will include tributes to the life and legacy of Dr. Woodson, Charleston Remembrance Committee Recognition and a panel discussion entitled " Black Health, Wellness and Resistance - Remembering the 1969 Hospital Strike".
