The permanent GS12/13 Partnerships, Volunteer and Youth Program Manager position at National Capital Parks – East (NACE) is now open on USAJobs! This is a great opportunity to work with National Capital Parks-East partners, manage the volunteer program and revitalize the youth program. We are looking for someone who is passionate about public service, collaborating with partner organizations and eager to engage with diverse communities across some of the most dynamic parks in the nation.

As the Partnerships, Volunteer and Youth Program Manager your work will include:

  • Collaborating with NACE staff to maintain existing and develop new strategic partnerships in support of NACE parks and historic sites
  • Providing leadership and supervision to volunteer program and grants management staff
  • Overseeing partnership, volunteer and youth programs reporting and record-keeping
  • Leading development and implementation of a NACE youth program strategy

A successful candidate will have an appreciation for the diversity of sites and communities in which NACE sites are embedded and an interest in pursuing meaningful and strategic collaboration aligned with the NPS mission. Excellent writing skills, strong oral communication, organization and the ability to maintain effective working relationships are also important for success in this position.
