Support ASALH's Mission: An End-of-Year Gift for the Future of African American History

As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the progress we’ve made and the work that still lies ahead. At the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), we remain committed to our mission of preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich history of African Americans—a mission that Carter G. Woodson, our founder, set in motion over a century ago.

From expanding educational programs to conducting crucial research and hosting community events, our work is more important than ever. But we cannot do it alone. Your support is essential in helping us continue to advance Woodson’s vision of ensuring African American history is not just remembered but celebrated.

As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation to ASALH.
Your gift will allow us to:

• Offer more resources and opportunities for educators and students

• Support researchers dedicated to exploring African American history and culture

• Host public events that foster meaningful conversations and connections in our communities

• Preserve the legacies of African American leaders, innovators, and everyday heroes

As a special thank-you, we are offering gifts for donations made by December 31st:

• A donation of $50 – $199 will receive a 110th anniversary ASALH tote bag

• A donation of $200 – $499 will receive any ASALH t-shirt

• A donation of $500 + will receive an ASALH embroidered polo shirt and either General ASALH membership or Senior ASALH membership

Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a lasting impact as we continue our work into the new year.

Will you help us carry Woodson’s vision forward? Your gift today will ensure that the history we work to preserve and promote continues to inspire future generations.

Thank you for standing with us and for your continued support of ASALH’s mission. Together, we can create a brighter future through the study and celebration of African American history.
