Mrs. Rosetta Farris Brown, a charter members of the Charles A. Brown-Birmingham Branch of ASALH, sadly passed away on May, 13, 2021. Her father-in-law, Dr. Charles A. Brown became the first president of the then Birmingham Branch. Mrs. Brown was a retired educator with 30 years of educating students at Brighton High School, where Dr. Brown had served as its principal.
Family, friends and organizations paid special tributes to Mrs. Brown at her viewing during family hour on May 21st at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Home. She was funeralized at the historic Sixteenth Street Baptist Church on Saturday, May 22nd where she faithful served as Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent, and led many church auxiliaries.
