A High-Impact Opportunity to Reach a Targeted Audience

The ASALH Annual meeting provides you with an opportunity to reach a targeted audience of approximately 1,000 community builders, historians, educators, business professionals and students globally. The Author’s Book Signing will be one of the events at the 109th Annual Meeting and Conference for individuals who are enthusiastic about the history of America and the African diaspora. Many of these individuals will participate in more than 75 scheduled academic sessions. 

Please plan to take advantage of this great opportunity. Space is limited. Authors and their presses are invited to purchase an ad in the conference souvenir journal.

More About Registering for the In-Person Author’s Book Signing

We invite you to participate in the In-Person Author’s Book Signing at the 109th Annual Meeting and Conference September 25 – 29, 2024. There is a $75 registration fee and participants MUST be a member of ASALH. 

The In-Person Author’s Book Signing registration includes:

    • One-half of an eight-foot table.
    • Opportunity to bring a low profile promotional display and distribute information about your book(s).
    • Opportunity to sell your book(s) onsite.
    • Author’s and their books will be listed on the ASALH Bookshelf webpage. 
    • Author’s and their books will be featured on the conference website, social media, and other promotional materials.

Register early to secure your in-person space at the Author’s Book Signing. Author’s must be a member of ASALH with current membership. Ship a signed copy of the intended book(s) for sale at the Author’s Book Signing to ASALH national headquarters. All steps must be completed before your registration can be processed. Author’s and their books will be listed on the ASALH Bookshelf webpage

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS REQUIRE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Author must be a member of ASALH
2. A completed Request Form (with additional pages if necessary)
3. Paid membership fee and paid additional processing fee of $75 are non-refundable.
4. A signed copy of the book intended for sale at the Author’s Book Signing Signing.
5. All steps must be completed in order for your application to be processed.
6. Upload (asalh.org/bookshelf) the cover of your book and your photo to be included in promotions on the website, social media, and ASALH TV (Our Youtube Channel).
