The branch will host a birthday party for Dr. Carter G. Woodson.

Branch members will read the book “Carter Reads the Newspaper,” by Deborah Hopkinson for two 5th grade classes at Hodge Elementary School in Savannah, GA. The illustrated book will be discussed by the students.

Branch members will then host a birthday party for the students, and some of the school’s faculty and staff.

The group will sing Happy Birthday and then enjoy cupcakes and juice boxes.
