The Charleston Area Branch ASALH celebrates the 147th birthday of Dr Carter G. Woodson, " the Father of Black History".The celebration will include tributes to the life and legacy of Dr. Woodson, Charleston Remembrance Committee Recognition and a panel discussion entitled " Black Health, Wellness and Resistance - Remembering the 1969 Hospital Strike".
