If you are not in Pittsburgh but know individuals who may be interested in serving on the Local Arrangements Committee, please share this information with them. If you cannot attend the meeting in person, register to join via zoom and the information will be sent to you via email.

Myers was a key figure in Black history and the labor movement during Reconstruction. In 1868, he founded the Colored Caulkers Trade Union Society, organizing Black workers to secure fair wages and workplace protections. A year later, he established the Colored National Labor Union (CNLU), serving as its first president and uniting Black workers to demand economic justice in a racially divided labor market.
