The Featured Authors Event will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2020, as part of the 105th Annual ASALH Conference, September 23-27, 2020, in Montgomery, AL. The event is open to the public and will be held in the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa. Conference Registration is not a prerequisite to participate in the featured Authors Event.
Our annual meeting is an occasion to share the cultural and historical contributions by people of African descent. Attendees from across the nation and around the world will convene to explore the 2020 National Black History theme: African Americans and the Vote.
With over 200 panels featuring prominent figures in Black cultural studies, as well as scholars and students from all disciplines, the ASALH Conference presents an optimal opportunity for you to present your research and current projects, as well as, learn about some of the other leading projects in the field of African American History.

Registration for the Author’s Book Signing requires current ASALH membership. Non-members may join or renew first and then process registration for this event.
