The Carter G. Woodson Branch, which is seated at the historic Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, DC, was chartered in 1983. We are located in the same block of the Carter G. Woodson home and office. Every 5th Sunday, the branch sponsors an African American Cultural Awareness Program, during the church school hour, presenting a wide variety of topics on African American life, history, and culture.
