The ASALH Black History Month Luncheon provides an exceptional opportunity to connect with community builders, historians, educators, and students in Washington, DC. It’s a chance for authors to gain visibility among a culturally responsive audience and network with potential customers. Additionally, authors and their presses can purchase ads in the Virtual Festival Souvenir Journal.

PLEASE NOTE: Purchasing an author’s registration only secures one seat. If you’d like to feature more than one author for a book, please purchase additional registration for each author. 

Eligibility: Registration is open to 2026 members only.

Deadline: Please register by January 15, 2026, as space is limited.

Registration Fee: $75

Includes: Half of an eight-foot table, the opportunity to display promotional materials, sell books onsite, and listing on the ASALH Bookshelf webpage along with promotional materials.

1. A 2026 ASALH membership and a processing fee of $75 which can be processed in one transaction.

2. A signed copy of the book intended for sale or a digital version, which is preferred.

3. Upload the book cover and your photo for promotional use at asalh.org/bookshelf.
